India is a land full of festivals
The year begins with a new year
Every life remains busy sending cards to nears and dears
Joy seems unlimited, time seems to fly
Like the enjoyment child gets seeing a butterfly
Diwali is the festival of lights
Which brings happiness in our lives
Holi is a festival of colours
When everyone dances on the tunes of drumers
Saraswati puja is especially done for the children
As they are considered as a god's children
Ganesh chaturthi and Durga Puja brings happiness
When people cross the boundary of madness
Karvachauth and Teej is a festival of fasting
When women pray to god for husbands long life lasting
Birth of Krishna is celebrated as Janmashtami
When all the gwala's breaks the matki
These are some and there are many other
Which makes our life colourful like a multicoloured feather
The written festivals are some noted
But there are so many which can't be jotted
